Rebecca Carswell

A clinical hypnotherapist and professional speaker, Rebecca Carswell settled in Florida in 1998 to pursue her passion for skydiving. Born and raised in rural New Hampshire, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Plymouth State University, where she later completed graduate courses in psychology. Following graduation in 1989, Carswell spent a year backpacking solo through Greece, India, and Asia. An avid participant in a range of outdoor sports, she learned how to fly small planes and took up parachuting in her early 20s. To date, Carswell has logged over 700 jumps, most of them in freefall formation.

A major turning point in her life came in 2002, when she broke her back in a near-fatal midair collision with the plane from which she had just jumped out. Told by doctors that she would never fully recover, Carswell remembers thinking, "I felt like a victim, angry, sad, depressed, like there’s no hope. And I began to realize that what I was thinking was actually creating my reality. So I began to focus on positive, empowering thoughts, like Everything happens for a reason, I will find the gifts in this experience." As a result, she was ultimately able to resume a normal life, and even returned to skydiving.

Carswell subsequently became an ordained Interfaith Minister through the New Seminary Institute in New York, and also serves as a spiritual counselor. As a speaker, she helps businesses achieve a higher level of success through her own unique listening and communications techniques – now available through her new book, Hey, Are You Listening To Me? Listening Your Way to Professional and Personal Success. For more information: www.RebeccaCarswell.com

Brockton Hunter

Brockton Hunter is a Minneapolis-based attorney and former Army Scout who devotes a significant portion of his practice to representing veterans whose psychological injuries lead them into contact with the criminal justice system. Among Brock's clients is Anthony Klecker, an Iraq war veteran, charged with criminal vehicular homicide, whose case was profiled in the New York Times' War Torn series. Tiffany Kaharick

Tiffany Kaharick is a licensed massage therapist and graduate of the Space Coast Health Institute. She currently practices at the Positive Change Health Center in Sebastian, Florida. Kaharick previously spent five years on staff at Florida Hospital Orlando as a critical care registered respiratory therapist. After earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Cardio-Pulmonary Science from the University of Central Florida in 2000, she became a member of the elite Florida Flight 1 medical helicopter team for two years.

"Florida Hospital was one of only a few hospitals in the country that employed respiratory therapists on helicopters, so this was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. I was one of two team members per shift working closely with the chief flight nurse, helping critically ill patients receive life-saving treatment. Lifting off in the helicopter and flying over the tops of the skyscrapers in downtown Orlando was exhilarating. It didn’t feel like work – more like an adventure," Kaharick says.

Kaharick ‘s passion for extreme sports began as a teenager, when an aunt taught her how to surf, which later became such an obsession that she would hit the waves at dawn before heading off to class. "Even the coldest day in winter couldn't keep me out of the water, all of my fingers and toes would turn blue," she says with a laugh. "But it didn’t matter – I loved it so much." In 1999, Kaharick discovered an even greater thrill – skydiving – and has since logged over 300 jumps. "I was hooked from the minute I fell out of the plane." Then, in 2005, came what she calls "the hardest thing I’ve ever done" – summiting the 12,388 ft. Mt. Fuji, an active volcano in Japan. "We were walking on just lava rock the whole time, and sometimes it’s so steep that it’s almost as if you’re climbing a ladder. It’s all switchbacks and treacherous. I couldn’t walk for two days."

Lewis E. Losoncy, Ed.D

Lew Losoncy is a rare breed among psychologists, authors, speakers, trainers, and motivators. "Dr. Lew," as his many followers and fans know him, is internationally recognized for his ability to bring common sense answers to everyday situations and issues that often seem to bog people down and hold people back from taking control of their own lives and becoming successful. For more than two decades, Dr. Losoncy serves as an in-house psychologist for Matrix Essentials the largest manufacturer of professional beauty products in North America -- a division of L'Oreal, New York/Paris.

Dr. Losoncy is one of the world's leading authorities on the topic of encouragement. And some years back he was dubbed “The Doctor of Encouragement” because the main theme that permeates his writing and speaking deals with the power encouragement has and can have in the lives of every single one of us. A prolific writer, he has produced some19 books and DVD’s. His first major publication was Salon Psychology: How to Succeed With People and Be a Positive Person. He has applied encouragement to parenting and education in his book Turning People On, used encouragement for organizations in The Motivating Team Leader, The Best Team Skills, and Retain or Retrain: How to Keep the Good Ones from Leaving, and in relationships and self-encouragement in If It Weren't for You, We Could Get Along: How to Stop Blaming and Start Living; and in his DVD series Attitude Modification , as well as in therapy with his system Encouragement Therapy. The success of his first book in the “If It Weren’t for You” series spawned what will become an entire line of books. The next that series was If It Weren’t for Customers, Sales Would Be Easy! His latest book, call-authored with Dennis McClellan, looks at what makes some people see a situation and rise to the occasion, while others sit idly by and offer no assistance or solution. It is entitled Early Poppers: Secrets of Self-Starters.

The release of Attitude Modification will have a major impact on how people view themselves and those around them -- while having a tremendous influence on modern psychological theory and practice. The DVD series gives viewers an opportunity to experience nearly six hours of what has been called a one-on-one, up close and very personal workshop.

Lew has conducted workshops in all 50 U.S. states, most of the Provinces of Canada, throughout Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, the UK, France, Italy and in Puerto Rico. One of his most recent engagements took him to Croatia. And one of the most interesting events occurred when he spoke to a group of Dell computer employees in Thailand – while he was simultaneously translated for the audience who spoke no English. He has been featured in such news media as The Wall Street Journal, Psychology Today, and Working Woman, Prevention and Glamour magazines. He has appeared on CBS This Morning and CNN.

His clients include (and this is merely a sampling): Bristol-Myers Squibb, L'Oreal, IBM, Matrix Essentials, Lucent Technology, Dell Computer, Inland, Hermann-Miller, University of North Texas ‘Center for Collaborative Organizations, General Motors (US and Mexico), law enforecment groups, Federal judges, over 100 School Districts (across America), law firms, physicians practices and hospitals.

His deeply inspiringly and logical message is enhanced by a unique style which has been viewed as a combination of the styles of Bill Cosby, Seinfeld and Mark Twain. His meaningful and upbeat message is delivered with passion and humor, and most importantly, with the purpose of building-up courage in the audience to face challenges in their lives and on the job. He turns people on so that they perform better at work and at play.

His undergraduate degree came from Bloomsburg State College. He earned his Master’s degree and Doctorate from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA.

Lew grew up in Reading, PA and spent most of his youth in that area. After teaching school and holding down a private psychology practice in Pennsylvania, he began an exciting life of travel that has seen him span the globe both for business and for pleasure. Lew maintains homes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Indiatlantic, Florida, along with his wife Diane and college student daughter Gabrielle.

Dee Marrella

Dee Marrella, has experienced life as a military wife and a corporate wife and as a result has seen much of the world and experienced many varied cultures.

Born in Paterson, New Jersey, Dee spent twenty plus years in the field of education in both Europe and the United States. Experiencing these different cultures afforded her the opportunity to observe vast differences in the ways caregivers interact with older individuals within societies.

In 1994 it was medically necessary for Dee's mother to enter a nursing home. Dee's constant presence at the home, watching so many caregivers deal with pain, love and guilt gave her the inspiration to create "Who Cares, A Loving Guide for My Future Caregivers." After three editions, and numerous communications from individuals, family members and professionals such as attorneys, accountants and physicians, who have shared wonderful experiences with the book, Dee has now expanded and revised the guide to the newly entitled, "EVERYTHING ABOUT ME,
A Guide for My Future Caregivers." With the large number of our troops returning home needing care, Dee has now also created a special edition for our military personnel and families in an effort to provide our troops with a method sharing essential information before their deployment.

Dee resides in Wyomissing, PA, with her husband Len. They are the proud parents of three daughters who have given them seven grandchildren.

Amy Mead

Amy Mead built a successful career in advertising and graphic design before starting a family in 2007. The Chicago native earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Connecticut College, then landed her first job at a small agency outside the Windy City. Over the next 12 years, Amy worked her way up to Senior Art Director for a large Chicago firm. She was living in the suburbs on a tranquil 20 acres overlooking two lakes when the long daily commutes and bitterly-cold winters began to take their toll. "My boyfriend and I began dreaming about a radical change in our lives — the possibility of owning and living on a sailboat," she says. "In spite of demanding jobs and limited time, we spent the next six months imagining and talking about what it would be like to follow this dream."

In 2001, they boldly quit their jobs, put everything in storage, and moved to Florida. Within a week, the two had bought a 27-foot sailboat, despite knowing nothing about boats or sailing, and moved aboard. They spent the next six months making it seaworthy and learning how to live without refrigeration. The couple then set sail for a three-month cruise in the Bahamas, requiring them to cross the turbulent Gulf Stream in the middle of the night. The year-long adventure would change their lives as they weathered numerous storms and learned how to survive at sea. "There are so many memories wrapped up in that boat, there was no way we could sell it. We still have it today," she says
